“The volcanic rock oil and gas reservoirs in the northwest margin of the the Junggar Basin have long had problems such as unclear oil and gas sources and main control factors for enrichment, which resulted in low success rate of sweet spot drilling and difficulties in reserve expansion, restricted the deepening of regional exploration. The research progress in the field of oil and gas exploration was introduced. The research team established a theoretical system of dynamic field accumulation of the whole oil and gas system, explored the dynamic mechanism and quantitative evaluation of volcanic rock oil and gas accumulation, and provided solutions to solve the exploration problems of volcanic rock oil and gas reservoirs.”
