Four sets of pyrolith reservoir assemblages have been identified in Beipu area
western Nanpu sag
Huanghua depression. The main pyrolith types include flood basalt and eruptive pyroclastic rocks
and the reservoir spaces are composed of fissures and intergranular pores. Drilling and logging results indicate that there are abundant fissures and pores in tuff on top and bottom of thick basalt in the 2nd and 3rd members of Shahejie Fm.
respectively
which will have relatively good exploration potential. Additionally
the sandstones above and below the pyrolith
being affected by magmatic activity
the poroperm characteristics would have been improved. It is
therefore
suggested that the explorer should pay much attention to the sandstones.
