    GEOCHEMICAL BINARY DIVISION CHARACTER OF LACUSTRINE ARGILLITE

    Fourty lithofacies can be distinguished in lacustrine argillite according to the geochemical research of Mesozoic-Cenozoic terrestrial basins.All the lithofacies types can be simplified by using geochemical binary-division character,i.e,depending upon geochemical parameters,lacustrine argillite can be divided into the argillite with lower boron and gammacerters abundance and with higher boron and gammacerane.The former can be subdivided into the argillite with lower calcium abundance mixed-type kerogen and with higher calcium abundance sapropel-type kerogen(simply named as type-L1 and type-L2 argillite respectively);the latter can be subdivided into the argillite with high gammacerane abundance balance of even over odd carbon number n-alkanes(OEP≈1) and with higher gammacerane abundance,even numbered carbon predominance n-alkanes (OEP<1) (simply named as type-H1 and type-H2 argillite respectively).The concrete charactersof argillite with lower boron and gammacerane abundance are as follows:lower B/Ga(<4),Sr/Ba(<1 generally)and V/Ni(<10),gammacerane(2.5%),higher Pr/Ph<1),OEP>1,in which type-L1 argillite shows higher Rb/Ca(>1),lower Ca/Mg(<5),type-Ⅱ kerogen dominant,C27-sterane/C29-sterane<1,oleanane+lupane/C30-hopane>0.05;type-L2 argillite shows lower Rb/Ca(<1),higher Ca/Mg (>5),type-Ⅰkerogen,C27-sterane/C29-sterane>1,oleanane+lupane/C30-hopane<0.05.In contrast,the characters of argillite with higher boron and gammacerane are as follows:higher B/Ga (>4),Sr/Ba(>1)and V/Ni(>10),gammacerane(>2.5%),lower Pr/Ph(<0.5),OEP<1,in which type-H1 argillite displays high gammacerane abundance(23%on the average),a strong predominance of phytane, C27-sterane/C29-sterane≥1;type-H2argillite displays higher gammacerane(7.2% on the average),relatively weak predomi-nance of phytane, C27-sterane/C29-sterane<1.Element chemistry and biomarker compound molecular parameters can be used as a means for sedimentary environment.(1)Gammacerane is an indicator of higher paleosalinity and reducing condition;(2)A strong predominance of phytane may be an indicator of hypersaline environment;(3)A preference of even over odd carbon numberalkanes(OEP<1)is an indicator of reducing condition;(4)Pr/Ph is an indicator of oxidation-reduction environment;(5)Kerogen type is the indicator of primary organic matter type;(6)C27-sterane/C29-sterane has been used for the analysis of organism types; (7)Triterpane compound oleanane and lupane are the indicator of terrestrial plant input.Depending upon the molecular parameters mentioned above and combining depositional- physical characters,lithology mineralogy and palaeontology,the following conclutioncould be gotten:geochemical binary divition character of lacustrin argillite is mainly a re-flection of the differentiation of water-medium condition in depositional environment andorganism assemblage in it.The argillite with lower boron and gammacerane abundanceformed in fresh-brackish lake,in which type-L1 argillite deposited in well circulated aero-bic,weak-reducin fresh lake with aquatic organism and terrestrial plant input;whereastype-L2 argillite deposited in anaerobic,reducing,brackish intermittent stratified lake withaquatic assemblage dominant.The argillite with higher boron and gammacerane abun-dance formed in saline lake,in which type-H1 accumulated in deeper,strong reducing andalkaline,relatively fresh water stage of saline lake with aquatic organism dominant,whereas type-H2 accumulated in relatively hypersaline stage of saline lake.

    Studied the fluid inclusions and stable isotopes in the fillings of Lower Paleozoic dissolve burrows on the southeast margin of Ordos,four discontinuous temperature sequences were recovered:44—46℃,59—61℃ and 104—118℃ were Caledonian orogenic stage,156—169℃ was Hercynian orogenic stage.Therefore,it might be considered that organic matter of Lower Ordovician was mature in Caledonian stage and turned into gas in Her-cynian.According to the paleotemperature of the bottom of Majiagou Formation in LowerOrdovician and the deep water characters of Middle-Upper Ordovician on the basin periphery,it is suggested that the internal basin had received Middle-Upper Ordovician sediments which were eroded after Caledonian orogeny.

    There are 138 stages in the GSC (Global Stratigraphic Chart,Cowie and Bassett,1989) all together.Some names of these stages were translated from Russian or Chineseto English.Among these stages,10 errors have been found according to the “StratigraphicDictionary of USSR (in Russian)” and these have been corrected as follows.

    The stretching direction of artificial compressed fractures could be determined with the aid of principle horizontal stress direction of modern tectonic stress field in oilfield area that was measured in dipmeter logging,and the proper disposal of oil-water well net-work could be made under its guidance.An ideal well network would be that one rank of oil-wells and one rank of water-wells dispose along the principle horizontal stress direction.The oil-wells and water-wells would not be arranged alternatively.

    Dachiganjing structural zone is one that is quite a typical high-steep anticlinal fault folded zone.Its subsurface structural pattern has varied obviously,and its concealed faults and traps are developed well.Hence it has become a favourable Carboniferous gas reser-voir place with fracture and fracture-porous preserving spaces.The structural zone underwent following evolution process:in Himalayan period-1,a wide symmetrical anticline formed;in Himalayan period-2,recoil faults formed on the anticline,and a secondary concealed anticline derived from the footwall of the steep limb;in Himalayan period-3,the steep fault-depressed belt varied and two subrecoil faults derived from the secondary concealed anticline;in Himalayan period-4,a overthrust belt developed on the culmination of the main structure and it made the structure disintergrate into monofault traps or fault-block traps.The migration,acculmulation and distribution of hydrocarbon in the structural zone are controlled by following two types of strctures.Type-1,the recoil fault assemblage (compressional faults),formed a kind of fault-culmination trap,which make the filling degree of Carboniferous gas pools equal or greater than 1.0;type-2,shear-compressionalfaults,usually reformed the primary gas pools,as the result,the gas pool filling degree of Carboniferous reservoirs in Diaozhongba and Longtou area decreased to less than 1.0.The hydrocarbon pools in the study area are primarily anticline-fault type,and then fault-block and fracture types.The later ones are generally not controlled by anticlines or culminations.

    In velocity-spectrum analysis and mapping of LN ares,the method of off-set correction was used and a complete software module was compiled;the methods of velocity field smooth filtering and standardization were established and the whole process was run by micro-computer.The precision of the structural maps was a satisfactory.

    Yisu(Yilan-Sulan)fault zone is a branch in the north section of the famouse Tancheng-Lujiang fault zone in East China.In application of Maniar's granitoid discrimi-nation,Mesozoic granitoids distributed in Yilan-Sulan area could be classified into follow-ing types:1.continental-arc granitoids(CAG)of Triassic-middle Middle Jurassic;2.post-orogenic granitoids (POG) from late Late Jurassic to early Early Cretaceous;3.the CAG and POG granitoids of Late Jurassic.The tectonic environment of the granitoids and the plate tectonic settings of the whole Northeast China in Mesozoic were coordinated and could be divided into four evolution stages:1.intra-continental arc strike-slip faulting(T-J32);2.post-orogenic rudimento-graben (J33-K11);3.passive rift (K12-K2) and 4.rift contraction (K3).

    Satellite photographic anomaly and linear mass photographic interpretation revealed that three groups of principle lineament structures of EW-(or near EW-),NE-and NW-striking developed in North Tarim Basin.These structures have crossed with each other,formed rhombic network structures,and are characterized by fault-block structures.More than 60% of structures that revealed by satellite photographic anomaly and linear mass photographic interpretation would coincide with actural geological structures.It is suggested that the structures along Postan-Yakela-Luntai-Cedaya,Shaya-Harahatang-Sangtamu-Qongalale,the high density anomaly of the linear mass between No.1 and No.2 faults,and circular photographic anomaly would be the targets for oil exploration,and Shaya,Harahatang,Caohu,the eastern Caohu and Qongalale would be the mostfavourable targets among all.

    Middle-Upper Cambrian dolomites in Shimen,Hunan Province,are mainly composed of anhedral micritic dolomite,euhedral and subhedral granular dolomites,grain dolomite.Different kinds of dolomites formed in different environments may have different models of dolomitization.The anhedral micritic dolomite shows a lower ordering degree (average 0.71),a higher CaCO3 mole content (average 50.83%),higher δ13C and δ18O values (average+0.26‰ and-6.95‰PDB),a higher Sr2+ content and non luminescence.Grain dolomitehas a higher ordering degree (average 0.87),a lower CaCO3 mole content (average49.4%),lower δ13C and δ18O values (average-0.87‰ and-9.5‰ PDB),and a lower Sr2+ content.The euhedral and subhedral granular dolomites,who's ordering degrees,δ18O and δ13C values,Sr2+ content are samilar to grain dolomite,has a dark red to red in lumi-nescence.All evidences show that there were three origins of the dolomites in the study area.Anhedral micritic dolomite formed in high-magnesium water in tidal flat;grain dolomite formed in shoal mixing water;euhedral and subhedral granular dolomites were the products of dolomitization in deep burial mixing water.

    Analysed the digital seismic wave groups and log curves of reef gas pools of the Changxing Formation in Southern Jianshi County,Hubei,it is predicted that concealed reefs could be found in the Jurassic strata covered areas in northwest,north parts and southwest of Lichuan Platform,and also new reefs should be found on the margins of Dianjiang,Kaixian,Pengshui,Hongchun Platforms since they all had reef forming condition.

    The Nangong sag is a NNE-trending dust-pan shaped sag in southern Jizhong Depression.The remnant Paleogene measures 750 km2.The sag is a superimposed one composed of Eocene and Oligocene basins,the source rocks of which are Eocene and Oligocene sediments.It has similar petroleum geological condition as Shulu sag near by in which certain amount of hydrocarbon reserves have been found.This suggests that medium or small size of oil and gas fields could be found within the sag,and that Dagaocunarea in the sag should be focused as the main target.Structural-trapped pools may be found in the eastside of the area (fault-structural zone) and lithological-trapped pools may be found in the west side.
