Abstract:

Applying Kaiser effect as the basic principle of acoustic emission experiment to test core or outcrop samples is a new method of studying reservoir fractures. This method was used in the study of the buried hill oil pools in Liaohe Oilfields. It could not only distinguish effectively the fracture terms of the buried hill, but also could determine the fracture intensity of the reservoirs in the buried hill and their feature. The method is proved to be valuable in application.
