Abstract:

Satellite photographic anomaly and linear mass photographic interpretation revealed that three groups of principle lineament structures of EW-(or near EW-),NE-and NW-striking developed in North Tarim Basin. These structures have crossed with each other, formed rhombic network structures, and are characterized by fault-block structures.More than 60% of structures that revealed by satellite photographic anomaly and linear mass photographic interpretation would coincide with actural geological structures. It is suggested that the structures along Postan-Yakela-Luntai-Cedaya,Shaya-Harahatang-Sangtamu-Qongalale,the high density anomaly of the linear mass between No.1 and No.2 faults, and circular photographic anomaly would be the targets for oil exploration, and Shaya,Harahatang,Caohu, the eastern Caohu and Qongalale would be the mostfavourable targets among all.
