Abstract:

Based on a large number of data and examples,the present trends and characteristics of world petroleum exploration have been summarized.By a research and analysis,this paper suggests the new development of petroleum geology,the application of plate tecto-nics theory,organic chemistry,seismic stratigraphy and mathematical geology,as well as the technique of reservoir assessment.
