Abstract:

The polycyclic aromatic fraction of the Tertiary brown coal from Guangxi Nianziping Mine are composed mainly of aromatic hydrocarbons(aromatizing-de-a-triterpane and diaromatic-8,14-seco-triterpane)produced from higher plants and bacterial remaking higher plants. The hydrocarbon contribution produced from microbe and microbial remaking higher plants are outstanding, though higher plants are the main hydrocarbon source. This kind of intensively microbial propagated brown coal is a kind of good source that can produce immature oil and gas, thus, attention should be paid to the above mentioned oil and gas exploration of the coal measures.

Key words: brown coal, aromatic hydrocarbon fraction, biomarker, miorobe degradation, lower matured oil, source composition
