Abstract:

The thought of polarization filtering is proved to be correct with theoretical two component(X,Z)seismic recording processing. The results of Various filtering parameters affecting two component seismic record filtering show:(1)polarization direction's weight value(q)is the largest affecting factor, polarization filtering time windows(N)is secondary and polarization degree's weight value(p)has little effect on filtering parameters of the filter,(2)seismic records of different components, different distances between shot and collect and different depths must be processed by different filtering parameters. As long as correct filtering parameters of filter are selected, satisfied filtering results can be acquired.

Key words: multi component seismic records, polarization direction, polarization degree, spatial direction filtering, affecting factors
