摘要:

对江汉盆地下第三系23个重武岩样品K-Ar同位素年龄测定,并按不同层位进行等时线处理,表明各组样品的年龄分别为潜江组四段41.0Ma、荆沙组45.5Ma、新沟嘴组51.2Ma、沙市组62.4Ma,与所处的地层时代基本一致。据此,编制了与火山活动事件紧密相关的江汉盆地早第三纪地层地质年代表。

Abstract:

The K-Ar isotopic ages of 23 Paleogene basalt specimens collected from Jianghan Basin were determined and isochrones were made according to different horizons.Isochron dating results are given as follows:the 4th member of Qianjiang Formation(Eq4)is 41.0 Ma;Jingsha Formation(Ej),45.5 Ma;Xingouzui Formation (Eχ),51.2 Ma;Shashi Formation (Es),62.4 Ma.The results are generally coincident with their stratigraphic times. Based on the results, the Paleogene geochronologic scale of the basin that is closely related to volanic activites has been made.
